As we wait for the November premiere date of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" it was recently announced that Broadway star Patina Miller has joined the cast for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" and "Mockingjay - Part 2."

In the final installments of the film adaptation of the popular Suzanne Collins book series franchise, Miller will play Commander Paylor.

The Tony Award winner, who won Best Actress for playing the Leading Player in "Pippin," tweeted her excitement about her new role.

Miller wrote, "so its official guys!!! i will be playing Commander Paylor in @TheHungerGames: Mockingjay 1&2!! So incredibly grateful and so excited !"

According to USA Today, in the books, Commander Paylor is a leader among rebels in District 8. She is described as having "an authoritative tone in her voice."

Miller will join Julianne Moore, Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson in the popular series.

The first "Hunger Games" movie debuted last March and grossed $691 million internationally, while the second film from the franchise, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is set for a November release.

Alan Gould of Evercore predicted that the upcoming film will earn $375 million domestically and another $575 million internationally. The first film raked in $408 million in the U.S. and another $283 million overseas.

He said, "We are projecting almost $400 million of profit from 'Catching Fire,' the Hunger Games sequel, about half in FY14, vs. an estimated lifetime profit of $325 million from the original."

He Added, "Also, over the next three years we think it is likely that LGF further expands its TV division, particularly given the increased demand from the digital streaming companies, and could very possibly create new film franchises."

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" and "Part 2" are set to be released in November 2014 and 2015 respectively.
