Four-time Academy Award nominee Julianne Moore will star alongside Jennifer Lawrence in the two part franchise finale of "The Hunger Games." The "Chloe" actress is set to appear in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1″ and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2."
According to the New York Post , Moore will portray President Alma Coin in the final two entries of the immensely popular movie franchise based on Suzanne Collins' trilogy.
Although Moore is a Hollywood veteran, some may only remember her face from her classic films, such as "Boogie Nights," "The Hours," "Hannibal" and "The Lost World: Jurassic Park."
The newspaper reported that with Moore's addition to "Mockingjay," the cast has a cumulative 13 Academy Award nominations for acting, including two wins. The nominees list includes Lawrence, Woody Harrelson, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Stanley Tucci.
The first "Hunger Games" movie debuted last March and grossed $691 million internationally, while the second film from the franchise, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" will be released November.
Alan Gould of Evercore predicted that the upcoming film will earn $375 million domestically and another $575 million internationally. The first film raked in $408 million in the U.S. and another $283 million overseas.
He said, "We are projecting almost $400 million of profit from 'Catching Fire,' the Hunger Games sequel, about half in FY14, vs. an estimated lifetime profit of $325 million from the original."
He Added, "Also, over the next three years we think it is likely that LGF further expands its TV division, particularly given the increased demand from the digital streaming companies, and could very possibly create new film franchises."
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" and "Part 2" are set to be released in November 2014 and 2015 respectively.
