Bella Thorne's career is about to take a major turn, but she remains a role model to her fans! The "Shake It Up" star talks boys, body image, and work in the latest Seventeen issue.

"Tristan was not a relationship guy before me," she describes her boyfriend Tristan Klier. "On our first date, he thought I was going to be just like the other girls he had met who would always give it up and kiss him right away...I waited six weeks - I had to make sure he was in it to win it."

She also does not believe in the pressures for people to have sex.

"It needs to be the most special, beautiful thing that ever happened," the star tells the mag. "It should be a decision you feel right about. If you don't feel 100% about it, then it shouldn't happen. It has to be something you want with your whole heart."

We love how Thorne respects herself and knows what she wants!

Thorne also addressed body image, and the unattainable pressures women are put under.

"Girls are shamed for their bodies and made to believe that they're not supposed to show them or love them," the "Blended" actress said.

"They're made to believe that they aren't perfect, that they need to 'work on it,' that they need to see themselves differently-and I think it's freaking ridiculous. It gets on my nerves because boys can do whatever; it's like we're living in the 1800s again. It drives me crazy," she adds.

Though Thorne is working hard outside her Disney obligations, the road was not always easy. She knew that if she followed her dreams, she would find success.

"[If my agent says] 'No, you don't understand. They're offering [the part] to someone else,' I don't care. Get me back in. I want to see the director again," she said.

"For me, it's not a matter of 'Well, it's gone.' No, there's always something you can do to change someone's mind."
