It looks like Dougie Poynter has confirmed that he is indeed dating "Divergent" soundtrack artist Ellie Goulding.

According to Entertainment Wise, the pair has been at the center of romance rumors for months and now the McFly member has revealed the depth of their romance.

In the past, the two have been spotted catching a basketball game together back in January where the kiss cam embarrassingly put them in the hot seat.

The "All About You" singer told the Mirror that the "Beating Heart" songstress was his girlfriend.

He confessed, "I've got a bird and yeah, it's Ellie." Meanwhile Poynter told The Sun that he was hoping his girlfriend would join him on some of his gigs during his McBusted tour which is set to begin this week.

He said, "Hopefully [she can come], yeah - she's away at the moment, but yeah. I feel weird talking about it to be honest."

Dougie Poynter seems to be beyond thrill about his romance to the "Burn" singer where as the blonde bombshell has been denying romance rumors and preaching about being a strong single woman.

Last month Ellie Goulding told Cosmopolitan magazine, "I [used to] put men on a pedestal. I decided to remedy that, and that's why I'm single now."

The Lights" artist went on to say, "They'd be everything [but] I've realized I don't need a guy. I've got amazing, awesome, stupid friends in the best way possible."

During an interview with Radio 1 DJ Greg James and actor Jeremy Irvine, Goulding reflected on her break ups and what they have taught her.

She explained, "A lot of despair in breaking up with someone is thinking about how you're going to cope in the future. But not being completely present prevents you from being happy and alive.

"As soon as you stop relying so heavily on what happened in the past, you end up being able to deal."
