For Prince George 2013 christening, Kate Middleton and Prince William will only invite loyal friends. The couple will break with royal tradition for the intimate gathering on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Daily Beast, Prince Harry's brother and Pippa Middleton's sister will have only 60 of their closest family and friends at the Royal Chapel at St. James Palace.
Guests will include London nightclub promoter Guy Pelly, and Middleton's old school friends Alicia Fox-Pitt and Emilia d'Erlanger. Cressida Bonas also may show up, and that could suggest that Prince Harry is close to proposing to her, the Daily Beast reported.
The Duke and Dutchess have invited the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby to perform the ceremony. The new parents have named close friends to be George's godparents in a startling move.
William's parents, Princess Diana and Prince Charles kept with the royal tradition of naming foreign dignitaries to be godparents, including the former King Constantine of Greece. But the new parents will break from those rules.
The ceremony will also be very important given the location, where William's late mother, Princess Diana was laid to rest before her funeral.
According to ABC News, celebrity photographer Jason Bell will photograph guests at the Clarence House following the special occasion. Grandparents Prince Charles and Camilla will throw a small bash, where guests can feast on the royal couple's leftover wedding cake.
