While out shopping a couple of months ago Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge let an antiques shop owner in on a little secret, that she is a bargain hunter just like the rest of us.
Apparently while buying a few things from a store in Norfolk, Prince George's mom asked for a discount.
The owner of the shop Carolyn Combe told Tatler magazine about the experience. According to news.com.au, she said "Kate came in when quite pregnant.
"Such thin legs in her wellies. She was looking at various things and asked for a discount," Combe revealed.
The owners husband Roger, who runs the shop, added that Kate Middleton's and Prince William's visit was just like any normal husband and wife's shopping trip which consisted of a "bored" Prince waiting in the car.
"If I may say so, William looked like every man who's forced to go shopping with his wife" Roger said.
He added, "which is bored bloody stiff and didn't get out of the car."
The royal couple was visiting the Old Stables shop, which is conveniently located near their 10-bedroom Georgian country home on the Queen's Sandringham estate.
So the big question that remains is whether or not Kate Middleton got the discount she asked for.
"Of course," Carolyn said, "she's got a big house to do up. But I love her for asking."
