It seems like actress Eva Mendes is staring to get to her boyfriend Ryan Gosling's nerves and maybe driving him back into the arms of ex-girlfriend and "The Notebook" costar Rachel McAdams.

According to new reports, the actor is not allowed to leave the house without getting wardrobe approval from girlfriend Eva Mendes.

Showbiz Spy reported that a source close to the couple said, "Eva does all Ryan's clothes shopping for him and tells him what to wear, all the way down to what buttons he should or shouldn't button on his shirts.

"She likes to be in control."

Her controlling ways may not be the best thing seeing as the couple is reportedly having relationship trouble.

An insider revealed, "Ryan and Eva are on the rocks over his refusal to make a solid commitment to her. He's been dragging his feet on proposing."

The source revealed, "He's obsessed with his career and claims he can't focus on anything else at the moment.

"Until now she hasn't pressured him, but she's just a few months shy of 40 and told Ryan that if he doesn't want to start a family with her, she wants to find a man who's ready and willing."

The insider admitted that the actress was seeking outside help to give her boyfriend the push to commit. The source explained, "Eva knows Ryan's mom is anxious to become a grandmother and is hoping she'll talk sense into him."

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, following his break up from Rachael McAdams, Ryan Gosling said, "I mean, God bless 'The Notebook.' It introduced me to one of the great loves of my life.

"But people do Rachel and me a disservice by assuming we were anything like the people in that movie. Rachel and my love story is a hell of a lot more romantic than that."
