When she is not busy holding hands with Boyfriend Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes is all about her acting career and now fashion line. Of the three subjects, can you guess the two that she loves to discuss and the one refuses to?
The "Place Beyond the Pines" actress has managed to channel a bohemian retro sort of style with her signature head ties but now Mendes is sharing her love for fashion with the world.
The gorgeous 39-year-old recently chatted with The Edit magazine about her recently launched New York & Company collection and how it was "directly inspired by [her] closet."
The starlet shed some light on some of the rules she abides when it comes fashion or a night out. She said, "If you go short, no cleavage or anything super-fitted; if you're covered from head to toe, you can go as fitted as you like."
The actress admitted that although she has access to high end fashion and numerous designer labels she still finds herself picking up some clothes from the thrift shop.
She said, "I think it comes back to not having the means to buy what you wanted," she added of her Goodwill shopping habit. "I've never grown out of being that girl."
One habit Mendes has yet to grow out of is her refusal to talk about her relationships. When the reporter from the magazine pried about her romance with Ryan Gosling the actress said, "I'm sorry. I'm shutting down."
The actress continued, "I'm such a weirdo. I literally lose my ability to speak-and you were doing so well."
Mendes explained, "I live in a very protective kind of bubble that I've created for myself."
The Edit reported later explained to the "How to Catch a Monster" star that stories have surfaced that she and Gosling have been fighting over marriage and kids because she wants to start a family before she turns 40-years-old.
Her response, "Oh, is that what they're saying?"
