"The Vampire Diaries" season 5 premiere is less than a month away and as we get closer to the premiere date of October 10th at 8 p.m. more spoilers are released about what we can expect from our favorite vamps including an extended promo and new stills.

The newest promo for season 5 gives us a glimpse into Elena's college life along with dorm rooms, bonfires, steamy make out sessions, and the return of Katherine!

According to Entertainment Weekly, not only is Silas pretending to be Stefan in front of Damon but he has plans to make Katherine fall hard for him and let's just say the last thing he feels for her is love.

TVLine recently reported that Katherine and Silas will have an interesting relationship in the new season. Michael Ausiello wrote, "Actually, if you caught the finale, it means Silas has eyes for Katherine. But trust me when I say, his intentions with the now-human rabble-rouser are far from amorous."

The writer also revealed that toward the middle of the season, Katherine will be trapped in a crypt with an Afghanistan war vet acquaintance of Stefan's who is only able to return home alive thanks to a transfusion of vampire blood.

However, he is having a very hard time keeping his bloodthirst under control

Meanwhile Jeremy can be seen getting into a fight as Elena has a "feeling like something bad is about to happen" in the midst of "giving it the old college try."

But the new stills show Elena and Caroline enjoying better times as they move into college but considering the extended teaser released we doubt their happiness will last for long.
