Following the death of "Glee" star Cory Monteith, his girlfriend Lea Michele has been keeping his memory alive, especially on the season 5 set of the FOX hit show.
The actress took to Twitter to share a photo of herself wearing a gold "Finn" necklace with the caption "Today..." Michele shared the photo as she was on set shooting the late actor's tribute episode.
On "Glee" Monteith played lovable jock turned Glee Club coach Finn Hudson. In reality the 31-year old actor was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room after he missed his morning check out time. An autopsy report confirmed that actor died from a fatal mix of heroin and alcohol.
According to Us Weekly, "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy struggled with how to write Monteith's character off the series. He said, "There were a lot of things that we had to decide [for the memorial episode]."
He continued, "At one point, we were going to have his character die after an accidental drug overdose -- that was something we had considered. But we have decided that we're not going to have him pass from that
Monteith's co-star Jane Lynch shared her thoughts about the script to his tribute episode on Wednesday and wrote via Twitter, "Just read Cory Monteith memorial episode. Most beautiful thing. Thank you, @MrRPMurphy @BFalchuk Ian Brennan."'
"Glee" season 5 will premieres on FOX September 26th, Cory Monteith's tribute episode will air October 10th.
