Fans of "Glee" star Cory Monteith, who was found dead last month at age 31 from a fatal mix of alcohol and heroin, will get to see just how talented the actor was in his final film, "McCanick."
Lea Michele's boyfriend plays a drug addicted street hustler in the crime drama, according to the Daily Mail.
A new photo from the movie was released following the announcement that "McCanick" will appear in the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
Famous for his role on "Glee" as football player Finn Hudson, in his last film Monteith plays Simon Weeks, a drug addict who is imprisoned for murder. When he is released and put on parole, the detective who helped convict him (played by David Morse) sets out on a mission to hunt him down.

The star, who is usually clean-cut and well-dressed, sports long hair and a tired expression in the still, showing a tense scene with Morse.
The movie's director Josh Waller told Us Weekly that the film helped Monteith come to terms with his own drug abuse.
"He looked at it as an artistic experience but also something of a cathartic experience," Waller revealed, adding that when the actor saw the final cut of the movie he was "moved, emotionally."
Following the viewing, Cory Monteith sent Josh Waller a heartfelt email. The director said, "He sent me a really beautiful email that evening just stating how much excitement he had and how much pride he had on the work that he had done."
He added, "Which I'm glad, because I know I thought he did an incredible job...And you know sometimes for actors it's hard to watch themselves on screen or to acknowledge when they've done a good job, and he didn't come right out and say, 'I did great!' But he was very proud."
It was the first serious role for Monteith, who starred in the FOX hit comedy "Glee" and has only appeared in romantic comedies.
