The wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton attracted millions of viewers; there was hardly anyone in the world that missed the royal nuptials. And all the years that she has been in the public eye, we have adored her chic and elegant style.

Not that she was shabby or clumsy in any way before she became a royal but she was just the usual young girl in her 20s who dressed casually in jeans, skirts and summer dresses with sandals and the famous UGG boots. She liked dressing down and probably even followed trends off the ramp and aped film stars. But the moment she became a part of the royal family, fans haven't been able to keep their eyes off the Duchess.

Since the day she came into the public eye, Middleton has carried off classic designer wear from brands like Prabal Gurung, Alexander McQueen, Burberry and Erdem to name a few. And her wedding dress with the elaborate lace work and train was to die for.

Middleton, who turns 31 Jan. 9, has not only made a statement with her outfits but her nude LK Bennett shoes took the fashion market by storm. Almost all her fans wanted to own the nude shoes and the demand for nude platform court shoes by M&S, which looked similar to the royal's LK Bennett pair, shot through the roof.

The Duchess of Cambridge has also been voted the Beauty Icon of the Year by Superdrug, and her trademark Chelsea blow-dry hairstyle has been ranked as the most iconic hairstyle of 2012.

Throughout these years, Middleton has made us love her style and even replicate it and now we cannot wait to see how her style turns out in 2013. And we can vouch that the baby on the way will be one of the most stylish toddlers ever.
