Pregnant Kate Middleton, who has been suffering from severe morning sickness, has found solace in lavender biscuits. The Duchess of Cambridge has been munching on these biscuits that not only satisfy her cravings but also keep the nausea at bay.
"A lot of women develop cravings during pregnancy and Kate is no exception. She has got a real taste for these biscuits," The Sun quoted a source. "Lavender is said to have healing properties, so it is not such a wacky food to nibble on when you're pregnant."
While most pregnant ladies crave for pickled onions and cheese burgers, Middleton sure has a rather sophisticated craving. She was earlier said to be tucking into scones and strawberry jam but since the morning sickness kicked in, she has turned to lavender biscuits.
The 30-year-old was recently admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London for severe morning sickness and was discharged after three nights. Just when the nation had begun to celebrate the new royal on the way, a cloud of gloom descended as Jacintha Saldanha, a nurse who worked at the reception of the hospital was found dead.
Saldanha is said to have committed suicide after giving out private information about the Duchess' nausea to Australian DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian who impersonated Queen Elizabeth and Prince William in a prank call.
Another pregnant celebrity who might soon turn to the same remedy for morning sickness is Kim Kardashian. The reality star, who has made her admiration for the royal pretty clear in the past, has recently announced her pregnancy and claims to be battling the same problem. Boyfriend Kanye West too wants the reality star to dress elegantly like the Duchess and Kardashian has been seen trying to replicate Middleton's. Not just her fashion sense, Kardashian has also revealed her dreams of a royal wedding like that of Middleton's.
