Beyonce's fans have just gotten a unique opportunity to help make the upcoming Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show one of the most memorable events of their lives. Fans have been encouraged to submit their photos in various poses of head bopping, feet tapping and hips shaking on pepsi.com/halftime Dec. 29 onwards and these pictures will be used in a T.V. ad that will air before the singer's performance, Feb. 3 at the Mercedes Benz Superdome, New Orleans.
Not just that, 50 fans who submit their photos by Jan. 11 will also stand a chance to bring a friend to New Orleans for the event and participate in dress rehearsals during the week and be a part of the Halftime Show's on-field dance team on Super Bowl Sunday. They will also be introducing the "Single Ladies" hit maker on stage.
Pepsi will take over Times Square with digital billboards to invite fans to take part in the contest.
"Pepsi is bringing to life its 'Live for Now' mindset which places fans at the center of this experience," said Angelique Krembs , vice president of marketing, Pepsi. "Pepsi is looking for new ways to involve fans in the Halftime Show experience, and 'live' it like never before. And this is just the beginning. Only Pepsi could offer these amazing experiences, and we are proud to be able to work with our partners at the NFL, CBS and with Beyonce in this unique and creative manner."
With the Super Bowl halftime performance, the "Halo" singer will join the list of celebs like Michael Jackson who performed in 1993, Christina Aguilera and Enrique Iglesias in 2000 and "Aerosmith" in 2001.
Beyonce and Pepsi signed a new $50 million deal and are now global partners. The singer will be appearing in Pepsi's TV commercials, print ads and also on limited edition Pepsi cans.
