Rapper Jay-Z turned 43 on Dec. 4 and wife Beyonce made every effort to make his birthday special as she gifted him the world's most expensive Hublot watch, according to Allhiphop.

The watch, named "Big Bang", is reportedly priced at $5 million and is adorned with 1282 diamonds. Well that is a lot of bling but we are sure that the watch fanatics are not complaining.

Media Take Out reports that Jay-Z was "very excited." But this probably is not the first time the rapper has experienced this kind of excitement. After all, Beyonce has gifted him extraordinarily expensive gifts even in the past.

Hollyscoop has a list of the gifts Beyonce has gifted hubby through the years and according to them it includes a $500,000 sapphire ring, a gold rocking horse, a Bugatti Veyron Sport car worth $2 million for the rapper's 41st birthday and the list goes on.

But the rapper is not the one to stay behind. As if gifting Beyonce a Hermes Birkin bag worth $350,000 for Christmas wasn't enough, Jay-Z bought her a private Florida island for $20 million when the "Halo" hit maker turned 29 in 2010.

But the couple showed the biggest heart when their daughter Blue Ivy was born in January. The power couple donated about $100,000 to the Lenox Hill Hospital where the little one was born.

The Hublot watch is not the only thing Jay-Z is currently excited about. The singer has also been named as one of the six top nominees for the 2013 Grammy Awards. The other five top nominees for the Grammy are Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, Mumford & Sons and Fun, reports The Washington Post.

With this prestigious nomination and the fabulous gift, looks like 'time' is on Jay-Z's side.
