Reigning Miss USA Nia Sanchez is now engaged to Daniel Booko!

Sanchez, 24, took to Instagram to share the happy news.

"We are engaged!!!! so in love with my fiancé @danielbooko," she wrote on the image-sharing site along with a photo of her and Booko kissing, with her sparkling engagement ring in full display.

Booko, 30, also took to Instagram to announce their engagement.

"We're engaged!! Ahhhh! Can't wait to spend forever with my love and best friend @realniasanchez @missusa!! #bestnightever #TheBookos," he captioned another snap of them kissing.

The "21 & Over" actor popped the question to Sanchez on a private terrace in New York City, Saturday night, Oct. 4, RumorFix reported.

Booko, who had roles in "The O.C," "Hannah Montana," and "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," secretly flew out to The Big Apple, where Sanchez is currently residing as the reigning Miss USA. He rented the Suite Royale at the NoMad Hotel, which has a massive 700 square foot private rooftop terrace.

"She has a few of her best friends visiting her this weekend so I said 'What better time to surprise her?'" Booko told Good Guy Swag. "She has no idea I'm flying in."

"She's thinking she's going to an event with friends," he continued. "[And] I will be there looking all dapper in a suit decorated with candles and flowers and the whole thing and have her come over - just her and I to have an intimate moment - then get down on one knee and propose then pop champagne and celebrate."

Booko told RumorFix that he helped design the engagement ring with Peter Young at INTA Gems and Diamonds. The ring is a two carat diamond with a double halo in platinum. "We put red, white and blue [stones] inside to add to the story of Miss USA," he explained. See an up-close photo of Sanchez's ring here.

These three stones are actually a red ruby, a white diamond, and a blue sapphire representing the patriotic colors of the American flag. But they also have another meaning, according to Booko. "We're both people of faith. I love the three [stones] as the trinity - Father, the son and the Holy Spirit."

The couple first met a year and a half ago at an engagement party long before Sanchez was crowned Miss USA. They did not start dating until three months later, when Booko saw her now fiancée at church.

The Sacramento-born beauty queen was crowned Miss USA 2014 in June at Baton Rouge, Louisiana, according to Daily Mail.
