Following news about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's secret wedding in France, Japanese-American actress and model Jenny Shimizu got engaged to her girlfriend Michelle Harper, News reported.

After meeting on the set of the 1996 film "Foxfire," Jolie and Shimizu had a relationship, which both repprtedly confirmed in the past.  

In 1997, Jolie told Girlfriends magazine she "would probably have married Jenny" if she had not married her first husband Jonny Lee Miller and she "fell in love with her the first second" she saw Shimizu.

In June, 47-year-old Shimizu and brand consultant girlfriend Harper posed together for a Vogue bridal photo shoot.

Shimizu took to Instagram to post the bridal photo with a caption "the inspiration- Wedding Cake!! thank you @voguemagazine for celebrating this LEZFEST! #getmodern #notmychoos."

Having started as a Calvin Klein model, Shimizu also appeared on modelling reality shows "Make Me A Supermodel" and Tyra Banks' "America's Next Top Model." As an actress, her latest films are "Four Steps," "Tools 4 Fools" and "Bob's New Suit."  

On Aug. 11, Shimizu also shared an Instagram photo of her Harper hugging by the beach with a caption, "yes BOO, nobu. #vacaywithbeyandjay."

Further details about Shimizu and Harper's engagement are yet to be released.

Harper will be Shimizu's first wife while Pitt is Jolie's third husband after Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.

Also, while the Pitt-Jolie wedding was confirmed, both Pitt and Jolie have yet to comment on the wedding.

Meanwhile, Jolie's father Jon Voight recently revealed he was not invited to the Pitt-Jolie wedding at Chateau Miraval in the South of France.

In fact, Voight did not know about the wedding until Inside Edition broke the news to him.    

"That's nice," Voight said.

Currently, 39-year-old Jolie is in Malta with daughters Vivienne and Shiloh, Daily Mail has learned.

She is set to direct a film to be released in 2015 titled "By The Sea," which she and her husband will star in. There co-stars are yet to be announced.
