Tyler Hubbard, one half of the country music duo Florida Georgia Line, is now engaged!
Hubbard, 27, proposed to his girlfriend Hayley Stommel Monday, Sept. 22, during a helicopter ride.
A rep for the groom-to-be told E! News that the helicopter landed in their backyard, to Stommel's surprise, and Hubbard popped the question while they were up in the air circling around their property. The rep added that the helicopter then took them to a private dinner to celebrate their engagement.
The "Here's to the Good Times" hitmaker shared the happy news on the same day on Instagram with a photo of him with Stommel showing off her sparkly engagement ring. "This is what a lucky man looks like right here. Not sure why but I sure am blessed to call this angel my fiancé. #loveisintheair #literally," Hubbard captioned the lovely photograph taken inside the helicopter.
Stommel, 26, also shared her engagement news with her 34,100 Instagram followers. "Blessed to call this amazing man my fiancé #Godgavemeyou #loveisintheair," she captioned a photo of them together taken after landing.
Hubbard's bandmate, Brian Kelley, got married to Brittney Marie Cole last December, according to Us Weekly. Cole congratulated Hubbard and Stommel on their engagement on Twitter, writing, "literally have a tear in my eye over @THubbmusic & @hayleystom engagement. Us 4 for life. FAM."
Earlier this month, Hubbard opened up about his relationship with Stommel in an interview with ABC News Radio. "She is a keeper, man. I got lucky with that one somehow," the singer said of her now fiancée.
And right after his proposal, Hubbard told People, "I'm the luckiest man and never thought I would find such a perfect girl for me. This will truly be a life of happiness and love forever."
Aside from wedding planning, Hubbard will also be very busy this fall with Florida Georgia Line's second album," Anything Goes," which will be released on Oct. 14, according to E! News.
