Twentieth Century Fox will release a special edition of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" that will feature the deleted scenes of Anna Paquin's Rogue character, Variety reported.

Fox's latest release, titled "Rogue Cut" will be available in the summer of 2015 for home video platforms.

According to producer Simon Kinberg, the "Rogue Cut" will provide more than 10 minutes of footage featuring Paquin's character and will add a new subplot to the film, IGN has learned.

"It's a big chunk, a substantial part of the movie," the producer said about Rogue's extra scenes.

"We want to give [fans] the fullest picture of the film - behind the camera, and in front of it," he added. "Every movie has scenes that are cut out, but not every movie has scenes cut out with such a beloved character."

Although Kinberg did not reveal the details of Rogue's subplot for the film's extended version, the film producer hinted in May of this year that it has something to do with Patrick Stewart's Charles Xavier and Ian McKellen's Erik Lehnsherr teaming up for a mission to rescue Paquin's character, Cinema Blend reported.

"The Rogue/Anna Paquin scene was by far the biggest cut we made, and that was more my fault than anything," he said. "When I was crafting the script, I wanted to create a subplot for old Charles and old Eric - Patrick and Ian - to have mini-mission together, one final adventure."

"And that's what the Rogue sequence was - that they went to retrieve Rogue," he added.

Kinberg noted that the sequence was removed from the film because it didn't exactly go with the flow of "Days of Future Past." In addition, the film was already dealing with numerous side stories from other characters.

"It felt like it didn't come from the spine of the film, it was an appendage where I just wanted to see the old guys get in the X-Jet for one last ride," Kinberg explained.

"It was a narrative detour, and in a film with this much momentum and narrative flow, you can't afford any detours," he added.
