Jeremey Renner recently confirmed his secret marriage to Sonni Pacheco, the mother of his daughter, Ava Berlin.

In a recent interview with Capitol File, the "Hurt Locker" star explained his decision to keep the wedding private and said that he wanted his family out of the public's eye, according to Broadway World.

"I have tried to protect my family's privacy, my wife's privacy. I don't need her to get hammered with my life. Privacy issues are important because I want her to go about her day without being bothered," he said.

The 43-year-old father added, "It's annoying being followed when I'm with my family. It's not just me - everyone in Hollywood has to deal with that. I've been talked about a whole lot, because the less I put out there, the less people know, and it makes it interesting, I assume."

Talking about his experience as a father to 17-month-old Ava, Renner revealed that fatherhood is the best thing that has ever happened to him, E! Online reported.

"It's the best thing I have ever done - doing it later on in life. By then I achieved a lot of things that I wanted to achieve; I'm so blessed for that. Now I can really spend time with family. The only thing I think about when I'm not with my baby is, 'How do I get to my baby?' I need to get to her, and I'm very miserable when I don't see her."

Meanwhile, Renner also hinted on a possible role in "Captain America 3." In an interview with MTV News, Renner hinted on the possibility of seeing his character, Hawkeye in the said film.

"I'm happy to be the ensemble. I'm not scratching or clawing to do a solo movie by any means. I think he's a utility guy that can bounce around into other people's universe a little bit, especially Captain America 3. There's whispers of that," he told the website.
