Google is reportedly planning to allocate millions of dollars for YouTube stars to create new and entertaining content for their online fans and viewers, PC Mag reported.

"Now, we feel the time is right to make another important investment in our creators," Alex Carloss, head of YouTube's original content wrote in a blog post.

"That's why we've decided to fund new content from some of our top creators, helping them not only fulfill their creative ambitions but also deliver new material to their millions of fans on YouTube," he added.

The main objective of the tech company's plan is to discourage famous YouTubers from leaving and joining another site.

Recently, Facebook and YouTube got into an online battle over video creation. Facebook formed a team specifically tasked with luring popular YouTube users to join the site, according to Tech Times.

As part of the deal, those who jump ship will be funded generously to motivate them to create videos which will then be posted on the social networking site.

Like the two sites, Yahoo is also executing plans to improve its online entertainment service. Previously, the site acquired the television comedy series "Community."

In addition, Yahoo is also targeting YouTube by pirating its popular users by offering them a tempting revenue split.

Aside from financial support, YouTube will also help its users with the creation of new content, CNET reported.

"As any creator will tell you, making compelling new content isn't easy, and we expect to learn a lot through this process," Carloss explained. "We'll experiment with new formats and ideas. We'll get our hands dirty. We'll make some mistakes. Together, we'll (hopefully) create some new fantastic new content on YouTube."

"It's been an incredible few years for YouTube," he continued. "And with YouTube stars jumping from their bedrooms to billboards in Times Square, we think there's never been a better time to be a creator."
