Johnny Barry, designer for the custom-footwear company Freaker Sneaks, made a pair of Air Jordan IV sneakers based on Sony's PlayStation 4 (PS4), Dual Shockers reported.

The sneakers, which are called JRDN 4 X PS4 come in all-black and have PS4 logos instead of the usual Jumpman symbol from Nike. In addition, the heel of each shoe has an HBMI port to emphasize the technological design of the sneakers.

According to Barry, he conceptualized the unique sneakers almost immediately after getting his own PS4 console.

"My inspiration for these came to me in a flash of insight once I had made the decision to buy the PS4 on release day," Barry explained. "I'm kind of brand loyal to Sony's products and I thought the concept would translate well onto a pair of Air Jordan IV's."

As for the Air Jordans' HDMI feature, the ports don't actually do anything. Although the sneakers come with a special Air Jordan HDMI cable for the ports, they only add flair to the overall design.

Once connected to the shoes' ports, the cable can act as a carry cord for those who want to show-off the kicks without actually wearing them, according to IGN.

"I thought they needed something quirky to make them stand out," Barry said about the ports. "So apart from replacing the Jumpman logos with Sony's Playstation branding, I thought it would be funky to add HDMI ports in the heels."

"I tried to make them so the shoes would remain wearable," he added. "The HDMI ports have no real function, apart from looking cool and they actually come with a custom Jordan HDMI cable that when attached, can act as a type of carry cord for walking around sneaker conventions or something."

Barry noted the JRDN 4 X PS4 will have a limited release with only 10 pairs. The price has not yet been confirmed but the designer said each pair will probably cost around $950.00, Design Boom reported.
