After releasing a number of tracks since their reunion at the 21st annual hip-hop fest Summer Jam in June, G-Unit has dropped a surprise six-track extended play entitled "The Beauty of Independence" early Monday, Aug. 25, The Associated Press reported.

The hip hop group consisting of 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Young Buck and newest member, Kidd Kidd, dropped the EP 12:00 a.m. Monday, copying Beyonce's successful surprise release of her self-titled album in December last year. Just like that of Beyonce's surprise album, "The Beauty of Independence" was released on iTunes without any form of promotion.

G-Unit's new EP includes a number of tracks the group has already released since their reunion, including remixes like "Loyal," as well as original songs like "Ahhh Shit," Vibe reported.

Below is the complete tracklist of "The Beauty of Independence":

1. Watch Me

2. I Don't Fuck With You

3. Digital Scale

4. Dead A Pussy Nigga

5. Changes

6. The Plug

The group, who had been disbanded for quite some years, last released an album in 2008. But now that the members of the band are back together, 50 Cent said that they are more mature today, and that improved the level of creativity behind their new music, AP reported.

"The artists are more developed than they were in the very beginning," the 39-year-old "In Da Club" rapper said, adding that member Tony Yayo wrote two hooks on their new EP, a task that 50 Cent often does.

50 Cent also said that the group's passion for music remains despite all the dramas the group has gone through. "It's clear that the passion for what we do is there because you don't see the same numbers anymore," 50 Cent said of the record sales. "But it's even more important that you mean something. For me, when I fell in love with (music), authenticity was everything."

"The Beauty Of Independence" is just appetizer to the group's upcoming third full length studio album, which is currently underway, Direct Lyrics reported.
