Kim Kardashian and Beyonce are seated "at least 30 yards away" from each other for the upcoming 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 24, a source revealed to Hollywood Life.

The relationship between the reality star and the singer was reportedly tainted after Beyoncé and Jay Z failed to show up during the wedding of Kardashian and Kanye West, 37.

Prior to this, Kardashian reportedly said she thinks "Beyoncé's a fake, and that the real Beyoncé is nothing like the one the public knows. Not showing up for the wedding was a total slap in the face. And now Kim's not afraid to call her out on it," a source told InTouch.

Meanwhile, Jay Z, 44, was recently spotted dining at a Malibu restaurant when Kim Kardashian,33, showed up with her family. The "Holy Grail" rapper was not with his wife Beyoncé, 32, at the time.

"It was really awkward. Jay Z had been quite low-key having a meal with pals. But then everybody noticed the entire Kardashian family when they came in," a source told The Sun.

Despite being near, Jay Z and Kardashian just ignored each other until the earlier left.

"Jay Z was heading to leave and Kim was right in front of him. They just completely blanked one another," the source said.

Meanwhile, Kardashian will be one of the presenters at the VMA and she will be sitting at the end next to the stairwell, MTV reported.

Her husband Kanye is also nominated for Best Hip-Hop Video with his song "Black Skinhead."

The song will be competing against John Legend's "All Of Me," Ed Sheeran's "Sing" featuring Pharrell Williams whose song "Happy" is also nominated, Childish Gambino's "3005" and Wiz Khalifa's "We Dem Boyz."

On the other hand, Beyoncé has the most nominations comprising Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Best Direction for "Pretty Hurts" and Best Female Artist, Best Video With a Social Message and Best Choreography for "Partition."

For her song "Drunk In Love" featuring her husband Jay Z, Beyoncé is nominated for Best Collaboration and the top award Video of the Year.
