What an eventful Christmas! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and nearly all of the royals minus baby Prince George, stuck with annual tradition and headed over to St. Mary Madgalene Church on Queen Elizabeth's Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England, for late-morning Christmas services.

According to Us Weekly, Kate Middleton reminded everyone that despite being a mom she is still a fashion icon.

The 31-year-old wore and a tartan Alexander McQueen coat and Gina Foster hat as she joined her royal in-laws Queen Elizabeth, Prince Phillip, a bearded Prince Harry, Prince Charles and Camilla, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Prince Andrew, a pregnant Zara Phillips and her husband Mike Tindall.

Also in attendance to the royal events were the likes of Prince Edward and his wife Sophie with their daughter, Lady Louise among other royals in the procession. However, the youngest royals, which included 5-month-old Prince George, stayed behind at the estate and skipped out on the tradition.

Meanwhile, about 3,000 royal watchers gathered outside the church around 4 a.m. on Christmas morning as speakers set up outside the building playing some Christmas music.

Inside the church, Jonathan Riviere lead the service with a rendition of "Christians, Awake" and "Once in Royal David's City."

After church Catherine Duchess of Cambridge and the Queen greeted the crowd outside the Church and Middleton shared some details about Prince George's Christmas morning and opening presents.

Cicely Howard, 75, told reporters, "Kate told me he was having a lovely day but was more interested in the wrapping paper than the presents."

Prince William told the well wishers, "We've had a good morning with George and I can't wait until next year when he's bigger."

As the royal couple left the crowd and made their way back to their home on the royal estate the two held hands while waving spreading holiday cheer.
