Although she has remained mum about her new boyfriend, Dougie Poynter just can't seem to help but talk about his romance with girlfriend Ellie Goulding.

During an appearance on ITV2's Fearne and McBusted last night the artist gushed about his lady to the Radio 1 host and admitted that "all is good" with the "Burn" singer.

According to Entertainment Wise, Poynter and Goulding were spotted holding hands earlier this week in Manchester and have been dating for a couple months now.

When asked by Fearne about the romance he said, "Yeah. All is good in that area."

The 26-year-old, who previously dated Frankie Sandford revealed that despite the fame he is just like any other young guy who his dating in his 20's the only difference, is that people are just a little more interested in his relationships.

During his chat on the show, Dougie Poynter also touched on his past issues with drugs which resulted in a stint in rehab. However, the star has since turned his life around and now avoids drugs and alcohol completely.

He explained, "You don't even realize how bad it is until you stop," adding, "I don't know how much worse it could have got and I don't want to know."

Back in April the Poynter first confirmed that he was dating the "Divergent" "Beating Heart" songstress. The "All About You" singer told the Mirror that the "Lights" singer was his girlfriend.

He confessed, "I've got a bird and yeah, it's Ellie."

At the time Poynter also told The Sun that he was hoping his Goulding would join him on some of his gigs during his McBusted tour.

He said, "Hopefully [she can come], yeah - she's away at the moment, but yeah. I feel weird talking about it to be honest."
