So it seems like things went over smoothly when Shailene Woodley decided to ditch "Divergent" cast boyfriend Theo James to kiss her "The Fault in Our Stars" costar Ansel Elgort.

Apparently the Twitter shy starlet didn't feel the least bit awkward as she and the hunk went from brother and sister to lovers in their latest film.

According to E! News, the 22-year-old stars in the tragic love story in which she plays Hazel a cancer patient who eventually falls in love with August who is in remission.

However, the film is a big change from their latest action flick which involved very little cuddling to their new romantic movie, "The Fault in Our Stars" which has plenty.

So how was the big change? While at the film's press junket Shailene Woodley joked, "It's so much fun, cause I've always wanted to make out with my brother."

On a more serious note, the brunette beauty admitted she was surprised Elgort, 20, got the part to play her love interest.

She explained, "I actually didn't think at first that he would get it, or that even if he was good, that he wouldn't get it, because of our relationship in Divergent."

However, it was the pair's screen test together in which the actor managed to capture the hearts of the casting team that landed him the role. Shailene Woodley confessed, "Everybody in the room was sort of like 'wow.'"

"The Fault in Our Stars" is based on the John Green novel which tells the story of two teens who fall in love after meeting at a cancer support group.

The film is set to hit theaters June 6th.
