It looks like there is some strife in the UK over whether Kate Middleton and Prince William were right to have head off to the Maldives for a week long vacation in the sun while leaving their eight-month-old son Prince George at home with his grandparents.
According to Entertainment Wise, the royal couple is scheduled to embark on their third tour next month and decided to have a private break for just the two of them before the madness begins.
The Mirror reported that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William arrived at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport on Friday morning 9:45 a.m. off of a British Airways flight.
It is said that their royal baby is enjoying some quality times with his grandparents Carole and Michael Middleton at their family home in Bucklebury, Berkshire while his parents are away.
An insider told People Magazine, "[They are] spoiling him rotten, just like any other grandparents."
Adding, "They are just overwhelmed to be grandparents. They are helping out in whatever way they can and wherever they are able to - you always do with your own family, don't you?"
Meanwhile, Sunday People columnist Carol McGiffin wrote a piece in the paper about her disappointment with Will and Kate and their decision to go on vacation without their son.
She explained, "I am a tad disappointed in Wills and Kate for going away without baby George and leaving him at home with a new nanny and Grandma and Grandad Middleton.
"Of course, he'll be safe and he may not even notice his parents have gone. But what I don't understand is why they'd want to leave him for so long so soon. Some experts argue new parents need a break from babies. "
McGiffin continued, "Why? I don't have kids but I know that if I did I would not be going on holiday without them, especially when they are barely eight months old."
The writer admitted, "If I was a mother I'd want to be a full-time, hands-on one who stayed at home if at all possible".
