New reports reveal that the Catherine Duchess of Cambridge maybe be headed towards a haircut as her locks were deemed untidy during a few recent public appearances.

New reports are claiming that the Duchess of Cornwall has suggested that Prince George's mom should take a few inches off of her brunette tresses.

According to the express.co.uk, Kate Middleton's hair looked pretty wild last Friday when the 31-year-old visited Northolt High School wearing an LK Bennett dress.

With the addition of windy weather to the environment, the royal's hair ended up all over the place and looked "scruffy."

A source told the Daily Star that Middleton's step-mother-in-law would be quite pleased if Prince William's wife changed her look.

The royal insider revealed, "Camilla has tried to help and advised her to go shorter and lighter," adding, "The royals always want to look smart and Kate is letting the side down. She has looked bedraggled recently and it's not a good image."

It is said that Camilla, 66, prides herself on looking pristine and is said to have told the bruette that she needs to start doing the same especially when it comes to her hair.

A Mayfair hairdresser, Jo Hansford, whose celebrity clients include Angelina Jolie, Nigella Lawson and Camilla, chimed in and agreed that the Catherine Duchess of Cambridge needs to take control of her hair.

She told the newspaper, "I think her hair needs to be cut. She could get rid of a good six inches. It seems to be getting longer and longer but it is too long and is dragging down."

Aside from a haircut the Duchess has been rocking a gold necklace by Merci Maman which reflects on the July birth of Prince George and was a gift from her younger sister, Pippa Middleton.

According to Us Weekly, the gold-plated long chain features three charms, a mini-heart engraved with "W" for Prince William, a circular pendant with "George Alexander Louis," and a little boy charm

The hand-engraved piece, now called The Duchess Necklace, retails for about $148.
