It looks like Catherine Duchess of Cambridge will be attending The Portrait Gala 2014 at the National Portrait Gallery in London. Kensington Palace announced the news on Tuesday, January 28th.
According to E! News, Kate Middleton who is also a patron of the organization will meet a selection of guests at a reception before attending the Gala Dinner on February 11th.
During the gala Prince George's mom and her guest will have the opportunity to view hand-written Pen Portraits and Mystery Portrait Postcards created by leading artists, authors and other well-known individuals.
According to Kensignton Palace, the money raised during the event "will support the Gallery's daily work of delivering inspirational exhibitions and displays, offering unique learning opportunities and undertaking world class research."
However, a portion of the funds will in turn benefit the Gallery's Portrait Fund, which will help purchase "portraits of outstanding national importance" for the collection.
One portrait that is apart of the collection already is that of Prince William's wife which hangs in the National Portrait Gallery.
But the Duchess may have to hear some harsh words about the portrait because although she thinks the painting is "brilliant," others quickly criticized Paul Emsley's stoic perspective of the fashionable royal.
The last time Kate Middleton step foot in the National Gallery was back in April 2013 when she was pregnant with a certain royal baby boy.
At the time she met with children who've benefited from The Art Room's charity program.
