It looks like Emma Stone's boyfriend Andrew Garfield is not the hero we all thought he was.

According to a new report from the New York Post's Page Six, the actor "refused" to present at the Oscars alongside Miles Scott a.k.a. Batkid, the 5-year-old boy with cancer because he didn't like his lines.

Us Weekly reported that there were plans with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to have the child present on stage but things quickly changed.

A source explained, "The Academy was going to make [Miles] an official superhero during the Oscar ceremony," adding, "Andrew Garfield was going to appoint him 'Batkid."

The insider continued, "But, in the middle of the dress rehearsal, Garfield decided he didn't like his lines" and "refused to go by the script."

Instead the 30-year-old "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" star came up with his own lines which producers didn't take too kindly to. The source admitted, "Garfield had a tantrum. He stormed off," adding that Miles and his family "were devastated.

"Garfield was such a spoiled brat that he didn't even want to be a presenter." In the end the Academy decided to cut the bit completely. Producers reportedly paid for Miles to go to Disneyland instead, and turned to "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" star Chris Evans to present in Garfield's place.

The insider revealed, "He got the call pretty much the day of that he'd have to go on," adding, "Chris hadn't been planning on even going to the Oscars." A rep for Garfield did not respond to Page Six's request for comment.

A rep for Andrew Garfield has yet to issue a statement concerning the matter.
