According to Hollywood Life, the crooner, 20, finally took some time out of his busy schedule to clear the air.

In response to all the lingering questions about his sexuality, Payne had something serious to say.

"I'd like to say I'm not bisexual," said Payne to HL exclusively after performing on "The X Factor" on Wednesday. "That was one quite big rumor. Apparently I am bisexual, but I'm not bisexual."

Recently, the new couple were the subject of more speculation. A rumor exploded on Twitter that Smith was expecting a baby, but no word on whether that one is true or not.

While Niall Horan and Harry Styles' bandmate set the record straight on his sexual preference, the singer also addressed another bit of gossip.

"I don't know," Liam said in response to whether 1D would make another film after the succes of "This is Us." "With the first movie, we really didn't expect that to happen - so we'll just have to see what happens. I don't know how we would do it though, because I wouldn't like to do a repeat of the first one. We would have to do a spin on it."
