Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is known for her chic sense of fashion, incredible style and stunning wardrobe, so who wouldn't want to know which piece from her gorgeous collection is her favorite.

Surprisingly enough the person to ask that burning question to Kate Middleton was a 12-year-old school girl.

According to Entertainment Wise, a young girl named Molly Parameter from Ireland was curious to know Prince William's wife answer however, if you have seen the royal's wardrobe you wouldn't be too surprised with her response.

What brought on Parmeter's question was her school project, for a book entitled "Molly's Style Icons" in which she reached out to several stars for the details on their wardrobes.

The celebrity gossip site noted that Catherine Duchess of Cambridge is known for mixing high street items and designer pieces. The royal seems to have a special preference for Jenny Packham and Alexander McQueen for royal engagements but dressing casually opts for Topshop and Zara in her down time.

Well ask and you shall receive, after Molly Parmeter sent the question to the royal she received a response from St James' Palace. She said, "It was a beautiful envelope from Buckingham Palace.

"But we laughed because Michael Flatley's envelope was actually a lot nicer. Michael's envelope was lined with a gold leaf and it said Castle Hyde in gold also."

The curious 12-year-old contacted 50 fashionistas for the book, however, she did admit that Kate Middleton's answer wasn't something that was ridiculously exciting.

The royal explained to the young girl that she had so many amazing pieces in her wardrobe that she couldn't pick just one as her favorite.
