"Hunger Games: Catching Fire" will have its major premiere just a couple of days before its global release date. The Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth film will debut in London on Nov. 11, Lionsgate announced on Tuesday.

According to a release, the film production company's announcement starts the 100-day countdown until the global release of second installment in the Hunger Games franchise on Nov. 22.

The film will first show in London 11 days before it arrives in theaters across the world. Francis Lawrence directed the sequel based upon Suzanne Collins' "Catching Fire" novel.

Lawrence and Hemsworth light up the screen with original cast members Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland. Philip Seymour Hoffman, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone and Jeffrey Wright also star in the film.

It begins with the Lawrence-played Katniss Everdeen and Hutcherson-played Peeta Mellark's safe return home after winning the 74th annual Hunger Games. The two characters embark on a Victory tour around the districts, who are stirring up a rebellion against the Panem capital.

Amid the heightened fears and anger from the futuristic nation, President Snow played by Sutherland is planning the Quarter Quell, a competition that could change Panem forever, stated in the release.
