Chris Brown turned himself into a Los Angeles jail for an ongoing hit-and-run legal case on Monday, according to TMZ.
The "Love More" singer, who will star in "Battle of the Year" and release his "X" album soon, was released without bail on his own recognizance after just 45 minutes, reported the celebrity news site.
Brown had previously pled not guilty to the alleged crime during his car crash in May, but was ordered into police custody by Aug. 6.
He sneaked into the big house a day before expected, escaping paparazzi and reporters. It was an intentional move devised by the "Fine China" singer's attorney, Mark Geragos to avoid media attention.
But reports have been all over Brown during his latest batch of ongoing legal problems.
Last month, the singer's probation was revoked after the L.A. District attorney claimed the crooner violated it during the alleged hit-and-run. But Brown maintained that he turned over his driver's license and did not violate the law.
While he awaits his next court date, the entertainer tweeted that he would be retiring after his upcoming album.
Don't worry mainstream America. After this X album, it'll probably be my last album.

He also said that he's over the music industry via Twitter.
Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I'm cool & over it!
