Kate Middleton and Prince William left the Bucklebury area for London on Friday afternoon, reported US Weekly.
Whether the parents-to-be are heading to St. Mary's Hospital or Kensington Palace remains a mystery, "We wouldn't comment on the exact whereabouts of the Duke and Dutchess," said a palace rep.
"We wouldn't normally do so in their private time," the palace rep added.
A royal source told US that Middleton's highly-anticipated due date has "passed," and William has yet to start paternity leave and is simply taking some time off to await his child's birth.
The source like much of the world was caught up in royal baby watch excitement, "We're all on the edge of our seat for news," the source said. "I thought the baby would be born by now."
According to UK's Express, palace officials are tight lipped about the baby's due date though the royal couple's friends had predicted the bundle of joy's arrival would happen earlier this week.
Royal sources have dismissed suggestions that the due date is July 23 although they remain confident that Queen Elizabeth will get her wish to see her new great-grandchild before leaving for Balmoral on Friday, July 26.
