Queen Elizabeth through the official Palace Press announced that Duke William and Duchess Catherine 'Kate' Elizabeth Middleton of Cambridge are expecting their first child together.
"Their Royal Highness The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby," released in a statement by the St. James Palace press.
The news comes after year and seven months of marriage for Prince William and Duchess Kate. The royal couple have been married since April of 2011 at the Westminster Abbey.
"The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Whales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news."
The Palace announced Kate who is 30 has been admitted to a London hospital due to severe nausea and morning sickness.
"The Duchess was admitted this afternoon to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter."
