Casio America Inc. and Red Bull have collaborated to create a limited edition EDIFICE men's watch - the EQSA500RB-1A for its Flormula One racing team based in England. The EQSA500RB-1A offers advanced functionality along with style and comfort.
With a striking stainless steel case and band, the EQSA500RB-1A watch dial incorporates Red Bull Racing's blue and red team colors as well as their vibrant logo. Based on the brand’s belief of “speed and intelligence,” the watch features a highly advanced chronograph. The watch is sporty yet sophisticated emphasizing the vitality of motorsports racing.
“We recognized that Red Bull Racing's fast-paced, energetic culture and drive to succeed were the perfect elements for the inspiration and development of our newest EDIFICE timepiece,” said Shigenori Itoh, Chairman and CEO of Casio America, Inc. “Casio has been an Official Partner of Red Bull Racing since 2009 and we look forward to collaborating on additional timepieces in the future that continue to evoke a sense of velocity and motorsports energy.”
The EQSA500RB-1A is equipped with Casio's unique Smart Access Technology which permits easier, more intuitive operation of multiple functions by controlling independent hand movement. This is made possible by a new 5-motor layout, via an electronic crown. The chronograph can record up to 10 lap times at an accuracy of 1/20th second and lap time results can be accessed using the electronic crown's pull and turn motion.
“The watch shares the same attributes that Red Bull Racing needs for success – precision, speed and of course, the highest level of technology in our racing cars. It's also not too heavy on my wrist, a nice balanced weight!” Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull Racing's double Formula One World Champion noted.
The watch doesn’t necessarily satisfy only the requirements of Formula One lovers. With its style and sophisticated design, it is sure to be a treasured accessory among all men. Not just stylish, the watch also features practical elements like 100M water resistance, countdown timer, daily alarm, tachymeter, and world time for 29 cities+ UTC. It also boasts of a tough solar power that adds up to the efficiency of the watch as this feature allows the timepiece to power down when not exposed to light for a certain period of time, thus conserving energy.
With the launch of the EQSA500RB-1A watch, a Pro Trek timepiece PRG550B-5 in October and a 30th anniversary edition watch designer by world-famous graphic artist Eric Haze in September, Casio seems to be on a roll.
Casio's stunning limited edition EQSA500RB-1A will retail at $450
