G-Shock by Casio has teamed up with world-famous graphic artist Eric Haze, creating a new limited edition timepiece to celebrate its 30th anniversary. G-Shock and Haze go back a long way, as they have collaborated for numerous projects for the past 15 years. The duo has four highly-coveted watches to their credit.

Haze had designed G-Shock’s 25th anniversary logo and has been commissioned to do so once again. The case back of the GA110EH-8A commemorative watch features the engraved new logo.

“Eric Haze has been an important figure in our brand's history and we respect his talent immensely. His artistry and aesthetic are aligned with our vision and brand identity. We could not imagine another artist designing our anniversary logos that mark such significant achievements,” says Shigenori Itoh, CEO of Casio America.

Reviving colors from the previous models by Haze, the 30th anniversary watch has a classic gray finish with accents in red, and Haze’s signature star icon logo pops off the band of the watch. It also features a 3-dimensional layered dial which carries specks of red, black and white.

“This collaboration speaks highly of the modern marriage of design and product, which treats premium collectable accessories as part of everyday fashion and iconography,” explains Haze. “The 30th Anniversary marks a quantum leap for Casio since the 25th Anniversary five years ago, with G-Shock's ever-growing impact on the watch design and fashion worlds. My projects with G-Shock over the years have played a big part in my own history too, so this celebration has special meaning for me personally and professionally,” he added.

The watch looks chic and prim because of its silver band and design, but is also sporty due to the hints of red. The dial includes a speed indicator, which gives it a very trendy edge and boyish charm.

G-Shock also hosted an exclusive 30th anniversary event at the Manhattan Center where “Slaughterhouse” did the opening act and set the stage for Eminem. The brand will release a collection of timepieces in collaboration with Eminem in the fall of 2013.

Staying true to its G-Shock toughness including shock and magnetic resistance, the GA110EH-8A comes with additional features like 200M water resistance, 4 daily alarms with 1 snooze, countdown timer, 12/24 hour formats, speed indicator, world time and an auto LED light.

The watch comes in a special celebratory packaging and will be available for $150 at Macy's, Independent Jewelers, fashion boutiques, and www.gshock.com, starting October 2012.
