Announcing its seriousness after opening stores in four cities of Canada, Nordstrom named its veteran leader Karen McKibbin as the president of Nordstrom Canada. McKibbin has been with Nordstrom for the past 27 years and has handled many top roles from merchandising to regional management. She has also served as the Vice President and Regional Manager of Northern California and Hawaii.
“Karen has had proven success in every assignment she's ever had and made us a better company. Her innate understanding of our culture and her dedication to offering our customers a superior experience made her the easy choice for our entry into Canada,” says Erik Nordstrom, president of Nordstrom Stores.
The brand carries and elegant and trendy line of apparels, footwear and accessories along with home décor, bed and bath etc. A fashion specialty retailer that started off as a shoe store in Seattle has carved its name in the fashion industry. Nordstrom is also listed in the New York Stock Exchange has been providing stable returns to the investors.
Nordstrom is rapidly expanding its business. Talking about this new role in Canada, McKibbin says, “I have had the opportunity to work with and learn from an ever-changing customer base, and to be part of leadership teams that have produced sustained growth.
