International apparel company Nordstrom plans to open its first full line stores in Canada in collaboration with Cadillac Fairview owners, investors and managers of commercial real estate in North America. The real estate veteran will lease four stores at leading shopping centres in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Ottawa.
“It's exciting to finally have this opportunity to better serve our Canadian customers closer to home and we can't wait to open our doors,” says president of stores for Nordstrom, Inc., Erik Nordstrom. “Cadillac Fairview has been instrumental in helping us get started in Canada, and we're thrilled to be part of these premier shopping destinations. While we're fortunate to have many loyal Canadian customers who've shopped with us over the years, we recognize we're new here and that we have to earn our customers' business. We look forward to what we will learn and are grateful for the chance to better serve our Canadian customers,” Nordstrom added.
Nordstrom also plans to continue exploring the prospects of starting more full line stores and Nordstrom Racks in Canada.
“We are delighted that Nordstrom has found a home in Canada in our shopping centres, and we welcome them to the Canadian market. Nordstrom is an excellent fit for all four locations; not only will they transform our shopping centres, but enhance the Canadian retail landscape as a whole,” says president and CEO, John Sullivan, about this partnership.
Nordstrom also recently made an announcement of a full line store in Texas in Fall 2014. The company initially started as a shoe store in Seattle now carries a variety of other products like clothing, fragrance, accessories, “Home Décor”, “Bed & Bath”, “Gifts” and “The Wedding Suite”.
Nordstrom with a huge range stunning and stylish products is a shopper’s paradise. It offers both formal and casual wear with unique designs which are sure to make heads turn. The Canada stores of Nordstrom will open its doors to shoppers commencing Fall 2014.
