The ultimate bohemian hair accessory is back, and in case you forgot what that is, it's the flower crown. And no, this is not Coachella. It's the Paris Fashion Week.

Thanks to the Chanel Spring-Summer 2021 Haute Couture fashion show, the flower crown is back with a vengeance, and it looks as ethereal as ever.

As Vogue reports, Chanel's creative director Virginie Viard evoked a more bohemian style, which wasn't entirely expected from an Haute Couture show but was refreshing to see, nonetheless.

Thanks to Viard's vision, Paris Fashion Week saw the bohemian flower crown's reincarnation as models adorned with such traversed the runway.

Hairstylist Damien Boissinot was behind the floral masterpieces, and they were showcased to perfection by models Malika Louback and Leelou Laridan.

While Loubak and Laridan weren't the only ones wearing a flower crown, theirs stood out because of the flowers' unusual shades.

Loubak's crown was jewel-toned with shades of blue, red, Spring 2021 Makeup Trends Will Continue To Revolve Around The EyesSpring 2021 Makeup Trends Will Continue To Revolve Around The Eyes and purple and matched the colors of her metallic and multicolored maxi shift, while Laridan's crown of pewter and navy flowers popped against her dress of a very light blue.

Harper's Bazaar points out that Dior also went floral on the headpieces, but theirs were more structural and littered with freshwater pearls. In contrast, Giambattista Valli went as far as adorning (and almost obscuring) his models' faces with vibrant flowers.

DIY Flower Crown

Taking inspiration from Paris Fashion Week, you can easily make your flower crown at home by following this step-by-step tutorial by DIY guru Christy Meisner Doramus featured on Brides.

Doramus is the author of "Flower Crowns: 30 Enchanting DIY Floral Creations," so you're in good hands. You'll need greenery, flowers, garden shears or scissors, florist tape, florist wire, and at least 30 inches of moss-covered florist wire.

Step 1

Cut your flowers and greenery, and make sure to leave at least two inches of stem so it will be easier to weave it around your wire "crown."

Step 2

Measure the wire according to your desired fit around your head and shape it into a circle. Secure the ends by twisted them together. This will serve as the base from your flower crown.

Step 3

Start attaching your flowers and greenery. Take a sprig, place it horizontally against the wire and wrap it together with florist wire. Once it's securely attached, cover the wire with florist tape and leave extra tape at the end for the next spring. Florist tape is quite sticky, so you can secure it to whatever piece you're working on and just use some more to keep it going.

Step 4

Build your crown with the rest of your flowers and greens until you complete the circle. You can also do a half-circle, depending on your hairstyle. For a uniform look, stop when you reach the halfway mark, then make the same pattern on the other side. You can also weave ribbons around the crown for a touch of elegance.
