So you want to look and feel younger, but you don't really want to spend a whole lot on creams, doctor's visits, and endure the downtime from an invasive plastic surgery procedure.
We hear ya! Thank goodness for Mother Earth's natural beauty remedies. Long before the days of Botox, facelifts, and lasers, there were good old fashioned versions of these innovations, used for centuries by women all over the world.
If you missed Part One of our tips to look younger with natural remedies, check it out! Ready for the next two tips? Read on:
Elasticity, Lemons and Sugar- Most would agree that our hands are one of the first things that give away our age because over time, the skin on our hands loses its elasticity and fullness.
The solution? Mixing lemons and sugar together is a great way to create a scrub for the hands.
Why does this work? Lemon juice contains alpha hydroxyl acid, found in many anti-aging treatments, which helps peel away layers of dead skin. Acting as an exfoliator, sugar crystals help slough away dull dead skin. As we age, we don't shed our skin as effectively, so using lemons and sugar to exfoliate can be helpful.
Restoring Moisture and Washing with Oil- As terrifying as this sounds, washing with oils is a great way to address dry, weary skin. Mixing olive oil with carrot oil or lavender oil can also work to calm redness and restore moisture to the skin if applied while you're showering.
After massaging in your oils of choice to skin, rinse with warm water and you're all set on the moisture front.
And you know we here at BWN are big fans of oil! From kitchen cabinet hair care, to oil for your face, adding this natural beauty tip to your daily regime as the cooler months approach is an excellent way to stay hydrated.
