Following the bending problem with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models, users are now complaining about getting their hair pulled every time they make a call using Apple's latest smartphones, Business Insider reported.

Dubbed as the hairgate, iPhone users say strands of their hair get stuck in between the display screen and the aluminum body of the devices. Their hair then gets yanked after removing the phones from their ears, according to Daily Digest.

"I'm more concerned and somewhat irritated that my iPhone 6 Plus, keeps yanking out my hair when I'm making a call," 9to5mac community user AYEAI posted.

"Initially I thought it was the hair sticking to the screen protector," the user added. "But upon closer inspection, it was the seam between the glass and aluminum - hair gets stuck and when you try to free it out, it hurts. I believe it's not only me."

Aside from those getting the hair from the top of their heads pulled, men sporting scruffy beards also reported the same problem with Apple's devices. This led them to call the issue beardgate, instead of hairgate.

"Anyone else getting beard hairs pulled by the iPhone 6/Plus? It catches my scruff in the seam and yanks it during calls. #hurts #beardgate," Twitter user Chad Coleman posted.

Hairgate or beardgate comes days after a similar problem surfaced regarding Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 devices. According to customer complaints, a gap exists between the case and the screen of the Android phones, PCMag reported.

Samsung responded and said that the issue, which users are referring to as gapgate, does not affect the quality of its products.

"The reported issue does not impact the functionality or quality of the Galaxy Note 4," a spokesperson from the company said.

"We assure our customers that all Galaxy Note 4 units meet our strict manufacturing and quality control standards," the representative added.
