Max George of the English-Irish boy band The Wanted could appear in the sixth and final season of "Glee."

Speculations that the 26-year-old singer could appear on the Fox musical series surfaced after he cancelled a personal appearance at a night club in the UK last week. George was scheduled to appear at Tiger Tiger in Portsmouth but pulled out at the last minute, OK! Magazine reported.

"We can't quite believe this, but we were notified at 12.35pm today that Max George has pulled out of coming to see us for a second time," the club tweeted.

In a follow-up tweet, the establishment said that they have decided not to try and rearrange his appearance for a third time. The club also announced they will be offering refunds on all tickets.

When a customer asked why the highly-anticipated gig was suddenly off the cards, the club tweeted, "We were told he has to fly to LA to appear in 'Glee.' Filming was brought forward."

The club was not really supposed to release any information like that if it is, indeed, true, but since George bailed on a performance two times, no one can blame them in doing so, according to Wetpaint.

If his "Glee" appearance is true, then he is the first celebrity guest that the show has signed up for its last season, excluding original cast members who are returning as guest stars, Yahoo! Celebrity UK & Ireland noted.

Last January, The Wanted boys, George, Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and Tom Parker announced that the group would go on an unspecified break to pursue personal endeavors, and on Aug. 31, they performed their last ever gig at the Fusion Festival in Birmingham, according to Reveal.

Since then, George, tipped as the "Robbie Williams of the band," has been focusing his attention on acting, and has already auditioned for roles.

In fact, about three weeks ago, George posted an Instagram photo of several script pages strewn across the floor and captioned it, "Only 114 pages to learn! #loveit."

George was last saw onscreen on Discovery documentary "Sharks After Dark" earlier this month, OK! Magazine reported.
