Twitter users now have the option to check out the demographics of their tweet readers, according to Tech Radar.

The popular social networking site first unveiled Twitter Analytics in July of this year for advertisers, celebrities and verified users. Basically, the service caters to users who rely on their huge following, Tech Crunch reported.

According to Buster Benson, the product manager of Twitter Analytics, the feature enables verified users to see how many people are reading their tweets. This enables them to tweak the contents of their posts in order to receive a wider readership.  

"For the first time, advertisers will be able to see how many times users have viewed and engaged with organic tweets, so that they can more effectively optimize their content strategy," Benson wrote on the Twitter Blog.

"We're rolling out an enhanced tweet activity dashboard to provide measurable insights into how your organic tweets perform," he continued.  

Back then, regular Twitter users were not allowed to access Analytics. But now, the social networking site has made Analytics available to the public.

The announcement was made by Ian Chan, Twitter's engineer.

"Absolutely thrilled to open up access to https://t.co/wcU6oj9hFM to everyone," Chan tweeted. "Check it out and let us know what you think!"

For those who have Twitter accounts that are more than two weeks old, they can login to Twitter Analytics. They will then be redirected to an online dashboard.

Equipped with graphs and statistical data, the dashboard shows users the performance of each of their tweets. It shows how many people saw the posts and the actual number of users who clicked on the links they posted, according to CNET.

Aside from these, Analytics also provide other bits of information on readers such as their gender, where they are located and their main interests.

The information displayed by Analytics can also be downloaded by users which allows them to check their tweets' status even when they're offline.
