A source said the issue regarding the shortage of display screens for the iPhone 6 won't affect the device's marketing release.

Previously, it was reported that the company that supplies various parts for Apple's latest iPhone model has run out of display panels, according to Top Tech News.  The shortage was triggered by a sudden production process that involves redesigning a component of the phone.

According to the tech news site, Apple ordered the production companies to change the backlight that illuminates the screen. The procedure halted the entire assembly process of the iPhone 6 units.

Despite the shortage in display panels, Apple did not release an official statement whether the release of the iPhone 6 will be delayed or not.

According to a source who claims to have inside info regarding the Cupertino-based company's production process, Apple is still gearing up for the scheduled September release of the iPhone 6, Fudzilla reported.

"It really does not matter," the insider said. "Apple will sell all that they can manufacture and because of the larger screen model, it is obvious that many users have been waiting [for] Apple to release the larger screen and that alone will drive significant sales."

Like the insider, Robert Hall, an analyst for JP Morgan, believes Apple will still proceed with the planned release of the much-awaited iPhone model, according to Apple Insider.

In addition, despite reports about the display screen shortage, Hall doubts if these claims are valid. After all, Apple has not yet released a formal statement to address the production issues of the iPhone 6.

"This sounds like a typical late-in-the-game supply chain story that turns out to have no impact on launch dates or devices sales," Hall said referring to the shortage problem.

"We believe that initial supply could be slowed somewhat if there is any truth to this but we doubt that iPhone unit volumes in the fall are likely to be impacted," he continued.

Apple's iPhone 6 will be unveiled on Sept. 9, 2014.
