"X-Men" star Patrick Stewart recently took on the ALS' Ice Bucket Challenge but what he did was absolutely different from that of everyone else.

Instead of pouring ice cold water over his head, Stewart decided to write a check for the ALS organization, an obvious indication that he just made his donation.

To make his video even more interesting, Stewart placed two huge ice cubes in a glass of water, poured himself a drink and smiled directly at the camera as he enjoyed the liquor.

Now, that's definitely how one could make a statement!
