Earlier this week, multiple sources speculated on the possibility of seeing Julianne Hough as one of the judges in the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars."

Now, Hough herself has confirmed the news via Twitter. "It's official! I will be joining the lovely judges of @DancingABC this season!"

Hough, who has won the hearts of both fans and judges on the reality dancing competition - twice - will be returning on the show but this time as a fourth judge, alongside Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tinioli, according to the LA Times.

This is not the first time that Hough will be judging on the show. Back in April, the 26-year-old dancing star was featured as a guest judge on "Dancing with the Stars."

On Thursday morning, Hough sat down with "Good Morning America" to spill the beans on the real status of her inclusion on "DWTS."

"I'm excited. Dancing with the Stars has always been a part of my family. That's where it all began for me, so... it just felt like the right time and the right opportunity," she said.

Back in 2004, Hough became the youngest professional dancer to have ever won on the show, Contact Music reported.

In a recent statement, Hough said, "I'm so excited to be back with my Dancing with the Stars family again on a regular basis. I've always aspired to be an all-around entertainer, whether I'm acting, dancing, or singing, and I'm thrilled for this opportunity that will allow me to continue all of those pursuits."

The "Rock of Ages" star added, "Derek and I just finished our Move Live on Tour, which reminded me of how much I miss the interaction with the dance fans that have been so supportive of me in my career. I am warming up the paddles and the sass, and I'm ready to have fun in this new role," she lamented.

Meanwhile, Hough's brother Derek will also be returning for his 14th season but Hough said she wouldn't have any issues judging him, The Celebrity Café noted.
