Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan finally broke his silence amid his son's recent arrest for drug possession.

On his official website, the 60-year-old famous martial artist and choreographer voiced out his thoughts about the shocking arrest of his son, Jaycee, on Wednesday, Aug. 20, Us Weekly first reported.

"First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for your care and concerns. The recent news about my son, Jaycee, is very shocking and the impact it has caused on society is heartbreaking. When I first heard the news, I was absolutely enraged," Chan wrote.

On Aug. 14, news broke that Jaycee got arrested for possessing and testing positive for marijuana. He was also accused of "hosting others to take drugs."

Jackie's 31-year-old actor-singer son was one of at least nine celebrities who got arrested during a major drug bust. Taiwanese movie star Kai Ko, 23, who became part of an anti-drug campaign two years ago, was also arrested in the Chinese crackdown, New York Daily News has learned.

"As a public figure, I feel very ashamed; as his dad, I'm very sad and disappointed. But the person who feels heartbroken the most is his mom," the "Mr. Nice Guy" star said of his wife of 32 years Lin Feng-Jiao.

It can be noted that in 2009, Jackie Chan was named an anti-drug ambassador by China, which explains why he is mostly embarrassed of his son's drug arrest, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Chan then said that he is hoping that the younger generation will learn from the mistake of his son.

"I hope our younger generation will learn from Jaycee's mistake and stay far away from drug abuse," he wrote.

Additionally, the "Shanghai Noon" star directly addressed his son in his statement, saying, "You've done something wrong and you have to be responsible for the consequences. I'm your dad and I'll always be with you."

Nevertheless, Jackie Chan maintained that he is still willing to help his son face his legal battle, and he is also taking responsibility as his father, noted TMZ.

"We will face the road ahead of us together. I should also take some of this responsibility because as his dad, I didn't teach him well. Therefore, on behalf of Jaycee and myself, I extend our deepest apologies to everyone for the negative impact this has caused on society. Thank you," the famous comedian concluded.
